School will be back in session on Monday, September 8th at 7:20 am.

The mission of Dore Academy is to provide students in grades K - 12, who have specific attention and learning disabilities, the individualized education to achieve their highest potential. The school strives to create an environment that nurtures and protects what we value most in our children: their curiosity, their talents, their character, their humanity and their dreams. Dore Academy uses a rolling admissions policy - we accept applications all year for the following academic year. Depending on availability and students' qualifications, students may be accepted mid-year for the current school year. Our students come from a variety of racial, cultural and financial backgrounds, and from both public and independent schools. Our student population includes, but is not limited to, students who may be diagnosed with a learning difference, dyslexia or attention-deficit disorders. The school does not accept students whose difficulties are primarily behavioral or emotional. Financial aid may be available. For more information, please contact Director of Admissions, Portia Eley, at (704) 365-5490, ext. 709 or email peley@doreacademy.org.
