Admissions Criteria Dore Academy's primary goal is to help families find the most appropriate educational setting for their child with a learning disability or attention disorder. To determine whether that setting is Dore, we require each candidate present the results of recent psycho-educational testing, including measures of intelligence, educational achievement, and processing skills. Our criteria for admission includes a diagnosed learning disability or attention disorder, average to above average cognitive ability, and the ability to function appropriately in small groups. Process Parents begin the admission process by submitting an application complete with all required documents and the $50.00 non-refundable application fee. We then recommend parents schedule a school tour and interview with the Admissions Director as soon as possible. The final, all important step in determining a good educational fit for those children diagnosed with a learning disability or attention disorder is having the prospective student make a school visit.
