School Closing Procedures

Inclement Weather:

When weather conditions require closing school or altering the arrival and/or dismissal times, the closing information will be broadcast on television stations.  Dore Academy will NOT follow the same policy as Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.  Please look for Dore Academy's announcement on the local TV broadcasts.  If no announcement is made, you may assume that school will operate on a normal schedule.  If school is closed or dismissed early because of weather conditions, the Extended Day Program will be cancelled for that day.  School closings will also be posted here on our website provided nothing interferes with our access to our site.  For this reason, the website cannot be the primary means of communication concerning school closings.  You will need to look for the closing announcement on local TV stations.
